If you turn it off you can't see or do fades. This is just so confusing. To clarify, in order to do fades on a track you performed flex mode edites on, you have to leave the global flex mode button on, and at the same time turn flex mode off in the track header. I have no idea why I cannot get the fade tool to work on this Apple loop. I replied to this same question on VI Control forum. Have you restarted your computer? On my computer I was able to apply a fade to it without problems so I'm not sure what the issue it on EpicEsquire's computer.
